In this experiment we try to get rid of the azolla roots.
After talking to Paul Brouwer at Utrecht University we found out that azolla sometimes loses its roots after being put into demi water, due to osmotic shock.
We put some azolla into a four beakers containing different kinds of water.
- demi water
- boiled water, cooled down
- tap water
- rain water
